A NOTE FROM EDDIE SPAGHETTI

Even when we're taking a "break", we're busy! I just got back from Denver where I was given the Royal Treatment by the good people of that town and especially by the good dudes in The Railbenders. I did a solo show there the other night and it was epic! The Railbenders backed me up for a great set of songs from The Sauce plus a few extras and I gotta tell you, they were great. We had no time at all to practice but you would never know it. 700 or so people were crammed into Herman's Hideaway, dancing and singing along the whole time and it just felt awesome. Thanks to Jim Dalton for making it happen and if you ever have a chance to see The Railbenders live, I highly recommend it! Also, thanks are due to Brian "Balls-On-Fire" Baltizar for being such a big help there in Denver!

Denver was the first of my "weekend warrior" shows this month. This weekend I'm off to Austin for some SXSW action and the weekend after that I'll be down in Southern California for a couple of shows (dates and venues below). Then the 'Suckers will be revving it back up at our local snowboarding hill, Snoqualmie Summit with an afternoon show right there on the mountain. That night, Ron and Murderburger and I will be rocking with 70 Proof, our ultra-cheesy, kick ass 70's hard rock cover band here in Seattle. If your in town, you gotta see it to believe it, it's pretty unreal!

We'll be hittin' the gravel again at the end of April as well, but in the meantime, we've been busy in the studio finishing up this pile of recordings we've made over the past few months: a live rock show from Detroit, which is killer and will be out by the end of the year, a live country E.P. from the Tractor Tavern here in Seattle that features all different songs than Must've Been Live, a brand new song, "Gato Negro", for a split single with Zeke and, as if that were not enough, we've recorded our amazing rendition of that OutKast song, "Hey Ya" which will only be available to those smart people who have joined the fan club! That's right, it's just gonna show up in the mailboxes of those "people of impeccable taste", so if you're not in - you should be, it's never too late and it's super easy to do, just check out the fan club section at our website. While you're at the site, you might as well spend some of that hard earned money, right? We've got more pint glasses, colored vinyl copies of The Sauce, c.d.'s by The Railbenders and Clay Bartlett, new posters, etc. Plenty of things to blow your cash on!

Oh, I almost forgot, we're also hoping to put the finishing touches on a live DVD that was shot on our last tour. Shot at a couple of awesome shows in Anaheim and San Diego, we'll be mixing it and adding some bonus footage at the end of this month. If anyone out there has some killer footage they wouldn't mind us using, we'd love to see it! Please send it to The Supersuckers c/o The Mid Fi Guy at P.O. Box 666 Heber City, Ut 84032 and we'll let you know if it gets used.

Well, I gotta go and learn some retarded 70's rock songs now. I'll catch you soon!

EDDIE SPAGHETTI AT TWIST & SHOUT (march 12th)

The ever-talented singer of the Supersuckers performed an acoustic set at Twist & Shout, in celebration of his new solo album The Sauce. Jim Dalton, from the popular local band The Railbenders, joined him as they breezed through requests from Eddie's solo album and past Supersuckers' albums, as well as a Railbenders tune "OD'd in Denver." They kept us on our toes by doing Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline" and Outkast's "Hey Ya."

Another warm and fuzzy week at Twist & Shout.

A NOTE FROM EDDIE SPAGHETTI

Hey there. I just got home from our west coast jaunt and thought I'd share a little of it with you. The big news from this trip is that The Supersuckers have had a baby and it's called "The Big Show". That's right, we've up and done it - we started playing both the rock and the country all in one big set! I know we said we'd never do that, but hey, we can change our minds if we want to, right? After all, as Willy Wonka once said, "We are the music makers and we are the dreamers of the dream". Wise words. It's still in its infancy and there are some kinks to work out but it is under way and hopefully, in the not too distant future, we will be bringing The Big Show all over the country. We've just got too many great songs to keep the sets separate anymore and we want to satisfy all of our fans and step it up a notch. Whaddya think?

We had the winners of our last Ebay contest in Vegas last week and they got to witness the first try at The Big Show. We all piled into a limo and went to eat at The Pink Taco (thank you Barry and Tex!) before the show and then afterwards we went out and did some gambling and then they went and got married! So congratulations are due to Chris and Natalie, it was great to hang out with you two.

We've had some other cool things happen lately - apparently we were in Spin magazine recently, I haven't seen it but it's supposed to be pretty cool. We don't get that kind of press too often, so it's kind of nice to hear about.

It looks like we're gonna have to press up some more copies of "The Sauce" because we've already sold out!  Unreal.  The word of mouth has just been tremendous, so thanks for that.

I also want to thank George Rodriguez and his family in San Diego for hooking up my family at his restaurant, Chiquita's. JD, Q and I all went in and got the royal treatment at the end of the tour and it ROCKED! If you're in San Diego, you gotta check it out - the "Mexican Margarita" and the Chile Relleno kicked ass.

We'll be home making up some new songs this month and doing some recording, then we'll be back out there in April, so keep checking in at the website for dates and info and we'll see you soon.  Also we added the Sauce on LP to our web store.  We only made 100 of each color so they won't last long..........

[FEBRUARY 13, 2003]

A NOTE FROM EDDIE

Hey folks, it’s your hard rockin’, good livin’, fun havin’ Supersucker friend, Eddie Spaghetti here sayin’ “Hi” and telling you all a little about what’s what, what is and what’s happening again in our crazy Supersuckers world. We’re back from the UK (that’s short for United Kingdom, a.k.a England, Ireland and Scotland in case you didn’t get much into the learning scene as a youngster) where we had a great time. Lots of sold out shows and happy “punters” left in our wake.

Right now we’re on the road (again/still, I dunno) with one of my favorite bands of all time, The Hangmen, heading down the west coast in to California and beyond. We love coming down here, especially this time of year to get our fix of sunshine and killer Mexican food, and to rock what I would have to say is the largest concentration of Supersuckers fans in the world. We’re almost to San Francisco now, where we’re doing two nights of pure rock-n-roll, then it’s down to Anaheim (with Throw Rag and The Hangmen!) and L.A. (that’s short for Los Angeles, in case you’re retarded) where we will be doing two nights at The Roxy – one rock and one country. I’ll be doing an in-store show to support my solo record, “The Sauce” at 7:00 pm on the 20th, the day of the country show at Amoeba Records too, so grab the kids and come on out to that – it’s free!. We’ve put up another great EBAY auction for this weekend as well, so check it out if you can! (“The Sauce”, by the way has been doing great and I know it’s because of the fans – we’ve spent next to no money promoting it and yet, people have been seeking it out and buying it. It’s been way better than we anticipated and all I can say is thanks!).

The Supersuckers will be doing a little in-store action in San Diego (where we’re also doing the two night, rock/country thang) at the Borders store on 26th and G too. Another great thing for the budget minded connoisseur of quality music.

It looks like we’ll be filming our shows in Anaheim and San Diego for a potential DVD release, so come on out and be somebody – maybe you’ll be in the movie!

Well, I guess that’s all for now. I hope to see as many of people as possible at these shows. I’d especially like to see some folks at our Tucson show if you live in that area. It seems like we just can’t get it going on in our old hometown and that makes our little rock-n-roll hearts a little sad. We’d love to change that.

We’re out here, come join us!

Eddie Spaghetti, 2/13/04

NEW SUPERSUCKERS E-BAY CONTEST! SIGNED
SPEEDING TICKET ENDS IN 5 DAYS!

Are we built for speed? Apparently so. The last time we got a speeding ticket we thought it would be cool to sign it, put it on Ebay and give the proceeds (after the cost of the ticket, of course) to a good cause. Well, people keep asking us if we'd ever do that again and I guess the answer is yes, here's another one. We obtained this little beauty toolin' up to Canada from Seattle. We've signed it and it is totally suitable for framing. We'll give the profits, should there be any, to the West Memphis Three Support Fund and you'll get a historical artifact from a cool band. You can't get this sort of thing anywhere else and it goes to a good cause as well. What's wrong with that? Absolutely nothing, my friends.
