Last Minute Eddie Spaghetti action!

That's right, tonight I will be playing in the groovy little 'burb of Brooklyn NY at the Trophy Bar. I got this gig sprung on me last night when I was in Hoboken at DC's which was an awesome time and they assured me there were more awesome times to come out in Brooklyn, so what the hell? I agreed to do it! So if you're one of those types who doesn't want to travel into "the city", here's your chance to come out in your own neighborhood and see the show. Don't miss it! Here are the details. I start at around 9:00.

Trophy Bar
351 Broadway
Brooklyn, NY 11211-7363

Thanks, Eddie Spaghetti 2/3/10

Bonus Action

Hey there people of impeccable taste! As we're winding down this latest Supersuckers tour I feel as though I would be remiss in not mentioning the chance that some of you will have to catch some bonus action. That's right, I will be lingering around the east coast doing some solo shows after the band has all gone home and I'd hate for you to miss it. After our last gig of this tour in wonderful Providence, RI on the 31st of January I will be heading down to New York City to do a show at a place called the National Underground on Monday, February 1st. Then I'll be over in beautiful Hoboken NJ to do one at DC's. I'll be following that gig up on the 4th with a show at the awesome Asbury Lanes in Asbury Park NJ. If you've never been to The Lanes, it's something you really wanna do, not only is it a great place to see a show, it's a great place to bowl. I bowled my highest score ever there one time, something like a 245 or so. Ridiculous!

After all that northeast action I'll be jet-setting on down to Atlanta for the final solo show of the run at the lovely Gravity Pub on the 5th.

So there ya go! Come on out and be somebody if you're in any of these areas, all right? You can't say you weren't warned...

And keep yourself up to date on all things Supersucker at our website. We'll have some new dates up there real soon!

Thanks for your time,

Eddie Spaghetti, 1/29/10

Resolutions...

Now, usually I find resolutions to be a dodgy prospect at best. The idea that just because the calendar has turned a page it's time to restructure your life? Come on. But this year is a little different for me. After what has been perhaps the roughest year of our 20+ years as a band, with the loss of a guitar player and then the Mid-Fi Guy, I think some resolutions are in order. So here we go...

I resolve to make this year one of the best in Supersuckers history, starting with the writing of a new batch of ass-kicking songs that will certainly make life a lot better for everyone who hears them. We then resolve to secure a record deal that will enable us to release said juggernaut onto an unsuspecting public in a timely fashion. We don't want to make you wait another 5 years to hear this one. It looks like we've tackled one of our resolutions already - the quest for management looks to be over and we'll have an announcement regarding that development here very soon. So that's looking up.

We resolve to make every Supersuckers fan sing the praises of our new guitar player, Mr. Metal Marty Chandler! We realize that Rontrose has left a big pair of shoes on that side of the stage but we're confident that Mr. Chandler is up for the task of filling them and our new recording will go a long way toward proving that.

And finally, we resolve to continue to rock asses live. In fact, we're thinking of putting the country side of what we do to rest for a little while so we can get back to concentrating on the ROCK. We'd love to hear what you think of that idea so feel free to discuss it on our message board. Yes, we still read it!

So there ya go. As I write this we're getting ready to hit the road again. We're heading to Texas, then over to Louisiana and into the great unknown that is Florida, then it's up the good ol' eastern seaboard, so make sure you check the site for dates and venues and all that good shit.

All right, gotta go. Got some hits to make up. Here's to 2010! It's gotta be a good one...

Happy New Year,
-Eddie Spaghetti, 1/14/10

Important update for the fans

Wow. Do we have some things to talk about, eh? First I'd like to say "thank you". Thank you for being on this email list, on this message board, or where ever you are, receiving this much overdue, full of "hot topics", nail biter and hopefully not long winded, email to my friends, the fans of the Supersuckers.

So let's just get to it. Chris is out. Sucks. It does, there's no other way to put it. Our friend had to step aside and take care of some personal business, leaving us in the proverbial lurch. I didn't jump on here and announce anything at first because it wasn't really my place and what was I going to say? We're fucked? No, cause we're not but that is how it felt for a minute (I'm lying, a couple weeks actually). That leaves us with some holes in our operation, not pretty ones, ugly ones that you want to cover up and pretend they aren't there but that's for hobby rockers and I have recently (this morning) realized that I am a god damn professional musician not a hobby rocker. So it's time to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and get on with the business of being the greatest rock n' roll band in the world. I mean really, what else are we going to do?

Other news.

I have been receiving a lot of complaints about the P.I.T. members not receiving the DVD that they were promised they would have before stores. First let me say I'm really sorry. We didn't foresee this ball being dropped (well any of them really, truthfully there were a few). I will be personally watching my wife do that this week and if she doesn't get it done, I will fire her too.

So is that it? Are we good? You want more??

Okay, lets talk a little bit about the future. What does the future hold? We are currently speaking with a couple of labels who are interested in putting out a record. So where does Mid-Fi fit into that (you ask yourself)? Basically, it doesn't, ha ha ha... but really, it doesn't. We are putting that guy to bed for a bit. It's nap time for the do-it-yourself crap. We have come to the realization that we not only need but we want some help. We are not calling it a failure, shit we aren't even calling it quits, we just know it's time to give ourselves a break from doing it all on our own. We plan on having a new label in place by the first of the year and announce some recording times and release dates then.

Mid-Fi will always be relevant, you don't do something for 10 years and just put it to bed entirely. It's like splitting up, not getting divorced, we'll try and work it out, see what the future holds. So that's probably more news than you need to know but that's how I'm going to roll. Fuck it, it's (almost) a new year, this is (almost) the new me.

Keep an eye out for the Supersuckers, we're going to be on tour this month. Starting in the lovely Fullerton, CA on December 10 (which will be the 10 year anniversary of the day Jess and I ran off to Vegas and got hitched, no, not by an Elvis impersonator) and we'll make our way through California and into the Southwest and Texas. Look for updated show info on our website soon.

Thanks again for your time, it does not go unnoticed here.

Change of plans

Greetings everyone. Plans change and so it is with a mixture of sadness and joy that I write this message. Right now I am supposed to be in South America, rocking the good people down there but due to some issues with a couple of our guys passports not being ready in time (you'd be amazed at the hoops and hurdles you have to jump through and over to get a visa to go to Brazil), we are still stateside. So that's a bummer. The upshot is that we get to spend Thanksgiving at home with our families, which is a nice silver lining on this otherwise dark cloud, so that's kind of cool. But it leaves us with a little too much down time so what do I do? I fill it! That's right. I have a couple of solo shows lined up right now - one is at the fabulous Alibi room in beautiful San Diego the night before Thanksgiving, Wednesday the 25th of November! It should be a great night, I think I'll be doing a couple of sets so come on out and let me know what you wanna hear, I'll see what I can do for ya... The other show is going to be on December 2nd in my hometown of Seattle at the High Dive in the wonderful Fremont neighborhood for all my Northwest homies. So don't miss that one if'n you're in that neck of the woods. I'm also working on getting another show up in the Northwest sometime soon so keep an eye out on the website for an update regarding that.

And speaking of a change in plans, you may have noticed that these emails are being delivered to you via a new server. In the words of Martha Stewart, it's a good thing. We've partnered up with the good folks at Reverb Nation to help improve our service to you. One of the many good things Reverb Nation can do is help us set up a street team, which is a great way for you to get involved in spreading the word about the Greatest Rock-N-Roll Band In The World. So don't be shy, change can be good! It most certainly is in this instance.

Be sure to check out our new webstore as well, we've parted ways with MusicToday so take advantage of the new low shipping rates and get yourself some classic Supersuckers gear - we just restocked some old favorites in there, so come on and getcha some!

Well, I hope you have a great Thanksgiving and we'll be seeing you in December out there on the road again...

Rawkously Yours,

Eddie Spaghetti

November 4, 2009
Greetings from Spaghetti manor.

I am here enjoying a very short family downtime, before we head out on the road again. Soaking up the new smiles from Elvis and skateboarding with Quattro. This next tour is keeping me from the family for Thanksgiving, so we are having a little holiday action tomorrow, which I couldn't be more excited about. Then on Friday morning, bright and early, I will be flying to Denver to start this rock n' roll machine all over again.

Our last time in Denver was quite eventful, with one of our guys getting clocked in the skull with a beer bottle. I'm guessing he was talking a little bit of shit to some girl at the bar and she no likey. So that was cool. He's okay and he promises not to get himself in that mess again. Just in case, you should definitely come out to catch that action, you never know what rowdy mayhem will ensue at a Supersuckers show.

Speaking of rowdy mayhem, our DVD is finally here. We recorded our 20th anniversary show last November here in Seattle at the beautiful Showbox and the DVD captures the band in all of it's stinky glory. It's a chronological cruise through all the phases of the Supersuckers history. It's an awesome set from an awesome night.

Another reason to come out and see us live (as if you need one) is the fact that we finally got some of our old catalog integrated back into our set... like the lawn, sometimes it takes a while to get shit done. Have no fear, we are getting shit done.

We are working on songs for our next rock record, I have some ass kickers coming from the quarry and I can't wait to get into the studio, put this shit on tape.

So come on out and be someone, make yourself known and see us off to South America in style, as we cruise down the coast in the big white Econoline.

See you on the road,
Eddie Spaghetti, 11/04/09
