Change of plans

Greetings everyone. Plans change and so it is with a mixture of sadness and joy that I write this message. Right now I am supposed to be in South America, rocking the good people down there but due to some issues with a couple of our guys passports not being ready in time (you'd be amazed at the hoops and hurdles you have to jump through and over to get a visa to go to Brazil), we are still stateside. So that's a bummer. The upshot is that we get to spend Thanksgiving at home with our families, which is a nice silver lining on this otherwise dark cloud, so that's kind of cool. But it leaves us with a little too much down time so what do I do? I fill it! That's right. I have a couple of solo shows lined up right now - one is at the fabulous Alibi room in beautiful San Diego the night before Thanksgiving, Wednesday the 25th of November! It should be a great night, I think I'll be doing a couple of sets so come on out and let me know what you wanna hear, I'll see what I can do for ya... The other show is going to be on December 2nd in my hometown of Seattle at the High Dive in the wonderful Fremont neighborhood for all my Northwest homies. So don't miss that one if'n you're in that neck of the woods. I'm also working on getting another show up in the Northwest sometime soon so keep an eye out on the website for an update regarding that.

And speaking of a change in plans, you may have noticed that these emails are being delivered to you via a new server. In the words of Martha Stewart, it's a good thing. We've partnered up with the good folks at Reverb Nation to help improve our service to you. One of the many good things Reverb Nation can do is help us set up a street team, which is a great way for you to get involved in spreading the word about the Greatest Rock-N-Roll Band In The World. So don't be shy, change can be good! It most certainly is in this instance.

Be sure to check out our new webstore as well, we've parted ways with MusicToday so take advantage of the new low shipping rates and get yourself some classic Supersuckers gear - we just restocked some old favorites in there, so come on and getcha some!

Well, I hope you have a great Thanksgiving and we'll be seeing you in December out there on the road again...

Rawkously Yours,

Eddie Spaghetti

Greetings from Spaghetti manor.

I am here enjoying a very short family downtime, before we head out on the road again. Soaking up the new smiles from Elvis and skateboarding with Quattro. This next tour is keeping me from the family for Thanksgiving, so we are having a little holiday action tomorrow, which I couldn't be more excited about. Then on Friday morning, bright and early, I will be flying to Denver to start this rock n' roll machine all over again.

Our last time in Denver was quite eventful, with one of our guys getting clocked in the skull with a beer bottle. I'm guessing he was talking a little bit of shit to some girl at the bar and she no likey. So that was cool. He's okay and he promises not to get himself in that mess again. Just in case, you should definitely come out to catch that action, you never know what rowdy mayhem will ensue at a Supersuckers show.

Speaking of rowdy mayhem, our DVD is finally here. We recorded our 20th anniversary show last November here in Seattle at the beautiful Showbox and the DVD captures the band in all of it's stinky glory. It's a chronological cruise through all the phases of the Supersuckers history. It's an awesome set from an awesome night.

Another reason to come out and see us live (as if you need one) is the fact that we finally got some of our old catalog integrated back into our set... like the lawn, sometimes it takes a while to get shit done. Have no fear, we are getting shit done.

We are working on songs for our next rock record, I have some ass kickers coming from the quarry and I can't wait to get into the studio, put this shit on tape.

So come on out and be someone, make yourself known and see us off to South America in style, as we cruise down the coast in the big white Econoline.

See you on the road,
Eddie Spaghetti, 11/04/09

Tour Dates, iTunes, CIMS Stores, eBay, and Pillowcases

Just a quick note to let everyone know some recent dates have been added so check the tour dates below. Don't miss a show. And the Supersuckers will be heading to South America here again soon and those dates will be posted within the next week. Look for a European tour in March. Stay tuned as there's lot of news on the way.

We've added more titles to the iTunes store lately. Even the 20th Anniversary Show on DVD will be on the iTunes store. And the 20th Anniversary CD is available at the CIMS Stores - here's their link for a list of the record stores. While we've watched record stores (I still call them record stores) struggle it's very important to remember to support them. Man I know it's tough when there's some real crap music out there being shoved down the throats of the youth but there's still some gems to be found including the Supersuckers 20th Anniversary Show on CD. Yep! Wow are we excited to finally have that release made available to stores. So please go out grab a dozen and tell your pals to do the same. You won't regret it and if you do we'll refund you. Maybe. All refunds are subject to review by the Mid-Fi Recordings Refund Bureau of Investigation

So I haven't given up on the eBay action either. In fact, Dan Thunder Bolton donated some items and you can find them in our listings.

Finally, the 20th Anniversary DVD will be going out to members here soon so stay tuned. And check out these fancy pillowcases we made. Snappy indeed.

Thanks for reading... Chris

Getting back on the road, after maternity leave.

Happy Birthday GUS!!

We're headed out to St. Louis, Minneapolis, and up to the Mountains of Colorado. I hope to see everyone out there, to witness the rock, and meet our newest addition... not Elvis, she's too tiny, but a full grown Metal Marty Chandler. He is taking the place of our recently departed, long time friend, and partner in rock, Rontrose. After 20 plus years of rock, and debauchery Ron has decided to move on. We wish him the best.

C'mon out to see Metal Marty, we will be celebrating his Birthday at the Cabooze in Minneapolis MN with our good friend Taco. We'll be bringing back some classic Supersucker songs, that you all haven't heard in awhile.

Speaking of birthdays, please give a warm round of applause to the newest Bolton Family addition.. Gus.

Ol' Dirty Bolton

PS: It's also Scott's birthday.

Recent developments...

Just a quick word to touch on the recent developments here in Supersuckers land. You may or may not have heard that the amazing Mr. Rontrose Heathman has left the band. Well this is unfortunately true. He has decided to finally cut himself loose from the grind that this band can be and while we are sad to see him go, we wish him all the best in whatever it is he decides to do. We hope he finds the happiness that has eluded him over the last couple of years.

That said, the show must roll on, and roll on it will! We have recruited the same fella who did such an awesome job when Ron took an extended hiatus from the band seven years ago, the incredible Mr. Marty Chandler to fill in for now, and while we all know that filling the big shoes of Rontrose is a tough gig, we feel that Marty is up for the challenge. He's a real monster on the guitar and he's bringing some much needed fresh air to the 'Suckers live show. He's probably at home right now, cramming as many of our songs into his head and his fingers as is humanly possible. I sent him an impossibly long list of new songs to learn so we can hopefully get to mixing up our set list a little more than we have been lately.

So come on out to the shows and get to know Marty. We are certain that, while we'll all miss Ron, this new chapter in the ongoing saga that is the story of the Supersuckers will be an awesome one.

Come and get rocked!

20th Anniversary Show Coming Soon on DVD

The 20th Anniversary Show on DVD will be mailed out to all the Fan Club Members by the end of October.

Anyone with a current membership through 10/1/09 will get a copy of the DVD in the mail.

If you're not in the fan club aka PIT we will have the DVD available for pre-order soon.

The Supersuckers finally got a new van. I'm going to continue to offer some items on eBay for the fans. Some of these items are exclusive to eBay and will not be offered in the web store. This is a great way for the Supersuckers to raise some cash and a great way for the fans to get their hands on some real unique items. We'll call it a win win. Just keep checking these auctions out.

Finally, the 21st Anniversary of the Supersuckers is coming up. So stay tuned for a limited edition signed clear Vinyl box set bought to us from our friends at Flotation Records. Stay Tuned. And obviously look for the test pressing on eBay... And please visit the Supersuckers on Facebook.

Thanks for reading.
Chris...

And a HUGE Congrats to the Spaghetti Family!
